I participated in a project where SCAD partnered with Dormify. Dormify is a one-stop-shop for small space decorating and inspiration designed for the fashion-minded. The project was a twenty-four-hour design competition for dorm room bedding design. For this design competition, I partnered with a fellow fibers student. This challenge started out with a kick off presentation from the company, which gave us inside information and inspiration for 3 different directions they were considering. Our job was to come up with a design that would fit into their brand. After the brief, we had two hours to come up with an idea and complete a mood board that was presented to the company employees and the CEO for feedback. We received their comments and had the remaining time to create and submit the final design concepts. We utilized all twenty-four hours to complete this challenge. Our design was chosen as one of the final four selected to be voted on by the company employees. The winning entry will be produced and sold by Dormify.
